My Time Machine

I started blogging when I was in uni. That was when I still had plenty of time to kill. Blogging was so much more fun when friends were still active on the blogsphere. After awhile everyone just stopped and the pig became the last one standing.

Writing was never something I master. I was never good at it. But I guess the need for me to express myself has made me so thick skinned that I'm voluntarily stripping myself butt naked (pun intended) on a public platform showing off my crappy English writing,  killing my already very low self esteem and whatever intelligence people thought I had all at once. I admire my courage sometimes *slowly pulling trigger to end embarrassment*.


My blog has always been my sanctuary, a place for me to take refuge.  It allows me to express myself, say things I can't/don't normally say in person, or reveal this side of me which only people who reads my blog will get to know. It keeps me sane, it keeps me human. 


I was reading my old blog (not this one). I caught myself laughing out loud at my lame jokes (I honestly think I was quite funny LOL)  and crying when I got to sad posts. It's amazing how I can still feel how I felt then, which was many years ago. It felt like it was just yesterday when it all happened, still so fresh and clear in my head. Those words and pictures were my life, my memories. They remind me of who I was at that stage of my life. They helped relive those moments again.Tracing back my footsteps made me realise how far I have come and how much I have grown over the years.

Everything is so different now. I don't have the privilege of spending hours writing a post anymore. After work each day the last thing I want is to face the computer trying to come up with interesting things to say. Gone were the days where I spent most of my free time snapping, arranging and patiently uploading photos and putting them into words. Maybe I'm more focused on living life at the moment, not so much on documenting it anymore. Or maybe I've just gotten lazier.

Blogging has always been just for my own pleasure but I'm glad some of you are interested enough to visit my blog from time to time to see what nonsense I have come up with. It does help keep that blogging momentum of mine going. So thank you for reading.

What I like about rainy days...

I used to like rainy days when I was younger. I liked the sound of rain, it makes me calm for some reason.

I used to like playing in the rain too, but that was a long long time ago. 

Now that I have to commute to work everyday, wet weather isn't exactly my favourite anymore.

Although the rain itself is very much hated by me now, but you will have to love what comes after the rain.

Amazing isn't it.

Lousy parent

You know how some busy working parents buy heaps of stuff for their children to make up for the time they couldn’t spend with them?
That is exactly how I feel now.

I buy her new treats almost every week.
I give her something each morning before I leave for work so that I feel less guilty for leaving her alone at home.

I feel like I'm a bad mummy =(( But what can I do? =(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

She was running towards me when I took MM out for a walk.

I was surprised she didn't run away when she saw me but rather she ran towards me.

From that I could tell she was someone's missing pet.

Went around nearby houses with Steph, my housemate, to see if anyone lost a pet rat..

but no one claimed her.

We had to let her go because none of us has time to look after another pet. =(

We left her at a school nearby, hoping that the kids there would keep her...

I am sure they would love her because she was soo adorable and tame...

I hope she found a good family...

Work Lunchie

Work lunch started off with a platter to share...

and Salmon with mash for main course which was really tasty especially the potato...!

Was behaving myself during lunch because I didn't want to seem stupid to the bosses for playing too much with my camera =P So not many photos were taken. However, was able to get one...Me and Anne =) Hoho first time seeing me in proper working attire eh! Look so ah sam fml.

Anyway...lunch was good! I ended up feeling sleepy at work after because of the alcohol and all the food i stuffed in my belly ZzZZzz

Oh my god..it has been ages since I last updated. Let me see...heaps to update...heaps to talk about.

I miss blogging. I miss documenting about my life. It feels nice when I look through my old posts. It reminds me of the good (and bad) old days.

So yeah! I am back!!! *guilty* I know I told many people that I will update i will update but I never did. I am SORRY IT TOOK ME SOOOO LONGGG! >.<

So what is new?

I moved to a new city, new job, new environment, new faces, new friends, new car, new me (o.O?) and the list goes on....

I’ll update one by one =D

At the mean time, let me just say...I seriously need to lose weight! Like seriously. I think I will kill someone’s foot if I stepped on it. =.=

I am Back!

It feels great to be home again. I feel safe, feel relaxed, feel excited! Ahh the mixed emotions...

The only thing I hate about coming back is - I hate flying. 7 hours of sitting is not funny. At the end of the journey my butt was soar and numbed. I was trapped in that small space for hours and hours...oh my poor long legs...HAHAHA wtf

I spent most of my time on board sleeping, reading and watching movies. Ah you know what was so amazing? I was reading The Time Traveller's Wife before watching movies on the in-flight entertainment. While looking through what was good I came across The Time Traveller's Wife the movie and then it was showing the part where I just read about! What a coincidence right?

Then again, I feel it was nicer reading the book so I just skipped the movie and watched Ice Age III and The Ugly Truth instead. Both movies were so funny I actually laughed out loud until the guai lou beside looked at me wtf. So embarassing. >.<

The only thing I look forward to while flying is meal time...hehe

They served two meals on board...one was lunch and one was snack. The air steward had to wake me up twice for the two meals LOL...yes la i eat then sleep then eat again then sleep again I am a pig I know that thank you very much...

Now here is the cheese + cracker thingy i was talking about...

I am so lucky everytime i fly I always get seated beside windows without requesting...=p

I couldn't be more excited when I landed in Penang air port. I told my parents Gen would pick me up and they didn't have to come. But while waiting for my luggage i got a call from daddy saying he and mum are waiting at the arrival hall! Sooo surprised okay!!Daddy helped me with my luggage and insisted me and Gen went ahead with our plan which was to have dinner together while he and mom went home.  I have the best parents ever! I am loved!!!!!!! =p don't jealous okay wtf wtf

After that it was Hello Koay Teow Basah!!

First drink after touched down was ice Milo. Sedapnya!!! We have the best ice milo ever. Yumm...

and my all time favourite! Koay Teow Basah!!

I had two plates in a roll and it was sooooo satisfying!!

What a great start eh!

One more day to go...

and I will be back to Penang...Woohoo!!

I haven't started packing. I mean packing is easy right? I do it last minute all the time. Lucky me I always managed to pack everything I wanted without leaving anything behind.

Mmm...wait a minute....Pui!! Pui!! Pui!! I better not say that later I die die forget to pack something important wtf. It's jinx you know >.<

Gahh I got this from Tiffany. It's my belated birthday present <3

She is so thoughtful she remembered me saying I don't have purple eye shadow while we went shopping so she got me this palette. Love it a lot. I tried it on yesterday but I forgot to snap a picture of it (my make up skill sucks anyway so nevermind).

I have no idea how long I am gonna be away for. Haven't really decided the date to come back. I am surely gonna miss my princess.

Got her some snacks and bones while I am away.

Oh i haven't told you about MM's new makeover yah? Here goes.

I had to cut her fur super short near botak to keep her cool. Don't want her to get too hot in the summer. She looks like a boy now with her low barking voice. =)

Talking about the weather, it is going to be 41celsius on Wednesday. HOLY COW want hot die people meh!! Lucky I am leaving on Wednesday!! HOHOHOHO!!!!

I miss my HomeTown

As the weather in Adelaide starts getting hotter and hotter each day, I can't help but to miss Penang more and more.

The weather feels so much like Malaysia - HOT! Suddenly all the memories and feelings came back to life. I miss everything there is in Penang, my family and friends, shopping malls, the good old times and how can I forget the FOOD!!

I guess that explains my crave for Penang food lately.

However, everything sold here are not quite the original. They taste slightly or a lot different from what we have in Penang, but it will do for now to cure my cravings. =)

I really can't wait to go home.

Talking about hot weather, thank god I have air conditioning. But of course I can't switch it on for too long. It would cost a fortune god damn it.

Have to find something else to keep myself cool.
